After our hefty lunch from Balinsasayaw. if you wanna call it lunch because it's already almost 4 in the afternoon. we rode our way to PWRCC. it was formerly known as the Crocodile Farm Institute founded in 1987 and houses about 4,000 specimens.
Entrance is at 40 Pesos each. (cheap price for what you will learn and experience here.)
this farm houses the biggest crocodile ever found in the Philippines. i'm not sure about the number but it's somewhere between 16-17 feet from tip to tail. they can even grow up to 30 feet long.
this is a crocodile found in Honda Bay. It actually attacked and killed a fisherman. they found half of the fisherman's body inside the croc. scary sh**!
someone got creative and painted a crocodile skin.
well a little more info about these scary crocodiles..
of course this farm won't be complete without the live crocodiles. so we go to the hatchling area where these crocs are being baby sit.
baby crocs are contained in big tubs with water. separated depending on their age. as well as their habitat, salt and fresh water. they are being fed once every two weeks, depending on their budget, they get crocs food from big companies that commercially sells meat.
these crocodiles have sloe metabolism and can survive months without food. they are sluggish moving yet when they attack, they attack with great strength and speed.
as we move forward crocodiles gets bigger.
we climbed a stair about 7 feet tall and went through this metal bridge they made right above the crocodile den. if you think the bones you saw earlier was scary. wait 'til you see the real deal.
this one is about 15 feet long. and is really really HUGE. doesn't look that big in the picture but when you get to see them for real. they really look scary.
this picture was taken 7 to 8 feet above the crocodile
